Let Freedom Ring Events

Kitty Kelley will discuss Let Freedom Ring and sign books at a benefit luncheon for the Women’s Resource Center of Sarasota to be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Sarasota Yacht Club, 1100 John Ringling Blvd Sarasota, FL 34236.  Tickets are $75.  For more information call 941-366-1700.

November 19, 2013 (Tuesday)

Kitty Kelley will appear at the National Press Club Annual Book Fair, in association with Politics & Prose Bookstore, Washington DC from 5:30 to 8:s0 p.m.  More information here.

October 13, 2013 (Sunday)

Kitty Kelley will discuss and sign Capturing Camelot and Let Freedom Ring at the Newseum, 555 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., Washington, DC 20001 | 888/639-7386, at 2:30 p.m. Admission to the program is free, but the Newseum does charge an entrance fee. September 12, 2013 (Thursday)

Kitty Kelley will be discussing Let Freedom Ring at 7 p.m. at the William G. McGowan Theater of the National Archives in Washington D.C.  with Marian Wright Edelman of the Children’s Defense Fund and journalist Soledad O’Brien. A book signing will follow the program. Admission is free.  Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The doors to the building will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. August 28, 2013 – March 1, 2014

Some of Stanley Tretick’s photos of the March on Washington, including some from Let Freedom Ring, are included in the Library of Congress exhibit A Day Like No Other, on the ground floor of the Thomas Jefferson Building, on First Street SE, between Independence Avenue and East Capitol Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

August 21 – September 30, 2013

Some of Stanley Tretick’s photos from Let Freedom Ring will be exhibited at the Gelman Library of George Washington University.  The exhibit is sponsored by the George Washington University Office of the the Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion.

July 31, 2013 (Wednesday)

Stanley Tretick’s photos from Let Freedom Ring will feature at the US Capitol during a House of Representatives Speaker’s event at 3 p.m. at Statuary Hall commemorating the March on Washington. Rep. John Lewis will speak.  The event is organized by the Faith and Politics Institute.
